Brazilian Wanted!!

The July/August issue of Viva Magazine will showcase the country of Brazil. Over 20 glossy pages will cover this wonderful South American country, giving readers an insight into the tourist attractions, the issues and trends of Brazilians.

These pages will also shows the lives and passions of Brazilians living in Australia.

Viva Magazine is currently holding a search for the “Face of Brazil in Australia”

to be our Cover Model to this special issue.

Official Rules

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

– There is no entry fee.

– Male or female, born in Brazil or at least one parent must have been born in Brazil.

– No Modelling experience is necessary. There is no height restriction.

– Must be legally living in Australia

– Over 18 years old. If under 18 must have parent or guardian consent.

– You must be photogenic, and project a large personality on and off camera.

– Models who are under contract with a modeling agency are not eligible to enter if participation or winning

would conflict with the terms of such a contract.

– By entering this contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The results and
decisions of Viva Magazine, will be final, binding, and conclusive on all matters.

HOW TO ENTER
– Press link -Cover Search Entry Form - and fill Form On line.

– Email us, a minimum of three current colour photographs of yourself. (recent, within 6 months)

– You can also print the Application Form and send it to us by mail together with 3 recent printed hotographs.
Note; if you want your photographs to be returned, please include a stamped self addressed envelope.

CONTEST DEADLINE

Entry Form and photographs MUST be receive by Wednesday 6th of June 5pm.

Note: Viva Magazine GUARANTEES that any information provided to us, will ONLY be used for the purposes of this Contest and will remain strictly confidential.

THE SELECTION
– The Editor of Viva Magazine will process all entries and select a maximum of five
finalists of the competition.

– All finalists will be notified by email no later than Monday 11th of June 2007 and invited for

a photoshoot. The winner will be choose after all photoshoot are complete.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Entrants will be evaluate in the the following:

1- Physical appearance.

2- Posture.

3- Presence.

- Do you possess « that certain something » that distinguishes you from the other competitors?

Finalists will participate in a major photo shoot, in which we will evaluate the following:

1- Photogenic ability.

2- Ease in front of a camera.

3- Ability to work with a photographer.

5- Ability to work within different scenarios.

Selection of Semi-Finalists: 10 Semi-Finalists will be selected from the eligible entries by the Contest Judges on Friday 8th June. Semi-Finalists will be notified by email on or Monday 11th June and will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, a photo release, and to provide proof of age and residence or they will be disqualified.

If Viva Magazine is unable to contact a Semi-Finalist to notify her/him that she/he has been selected, another entrant will be selected.

We will keep your contact information on file, and may possibly contact you for future projects.

Selection of Finalists: 3 Finalists will be selected from the 10 Semi-Finalists by Viva Magazine

Finalists will be notified by telephone or email on or about Wednesday 13th June and will be required to assist to a Photo shoot. Date to be determined in consultation with contestant. Photo shoot will be at the expense of Viva Magazine

Selection of the Winner: During the Final Judging beginning on or about Friday 15th June one winner will be selected from the three Finalists by Viva Magazine based on their performance during individual Cover Shoot and Interview.

FINALIST PRIZES:

– A photo shoot value $500)

– Receive a Web Portfolio

WINNER PRIZES:

– Will feature on July/August 2007 cover of Viva Magazine

– Will receive a full editorial page in Viva Magazine, with article about his/her life,
views about Australia, interest and goals.

– Framed front cover photograph

– Title of Face of Brazil in Australia

– Receive a Web Portfolio

– A shopping spree at Fashion Brazil.to the value of $250

Miscellaneous:

Each finalist grants Viva Magazine, the right to use the entrant’s name, photograph without additional compensation for advertising and promotional purposes, in perpetuity, including promoting and otherwise future Model Search contests conducted by Viva Magazine, and in promotion and advertising of Viva Magazine in all media. All finalist further agree to have their names, biographical information, and likenesses published on Viva Magazine. Failure to comply with any portion of these Official Rules will result in disqualification.

Only Semi-finalists, Finalists, and the Winner will be notified.
