HolaNet a service to the
spanish speaking community

Viva Magazine caught up with Diana Rodriguez founder of Holanet the, On Line Directory for the Spanish Speaking community, to learn about the aims and perspectives of this newly formed organisation

Viva - Diana, when was Holanet formed?
The idea behind Holanet started to play around in our minds in late 2005, the site started coming to life in March 2006 and has been growing since.

Viva - Who are the people behind Holanet?
The directors of Holanet are Diana Rodriguez and Verónica Salazar Barrientos. Diana is an IT professional with years of experience in the online world. Veronica is a pharmacist. She is also a member of the Colombian folkloric dancing group Aires Colombianos and has experience in organising functions and events.

Viva - Are the services of Holanet free of cost for the users?
Registering your business with Holanet is free in 2006. Our users can use the directory search services for free to find businesses or services they are looking for.

Viva - What are the benefits that Holanet brings to the Spanish speaking community?
Holanet has many benefits for both businesses and private users.
For businesses, the benefit is of forming part of Australia’s quickest growing Internet directory for the Spanish speaking community. With hundreds of users going through our website every month, this will allow our clients to get great exposure on the Internet.
For our users, there is a diversity of businesses from different areas within Australia. Our users can also register their emails on the Holanet main page and receive updates with the latest news of our website.

Viva - What are the plans for Holanet for the next 12 months?
Right now, Holanet is in Spanish. In 2007 Holanet will be coming to you in English. Enjoy our services by seeing what the Hispanic community has to offer. At this stage many of our businesses are in New South Wales. Our plan is to go nationwide with Holanet and allow anyone from any part of Australia to benefit from our service.

Viva - Any comments that you would like to make regarding Holanet?
We would love to see Holanet become the best internet directory for the Hispanic Community. We would like to keep a real communal feel to the site where people can easily refer to it. We invite all your readers to visit our website.– www.holanet.com.au
